Well...here we go

I am a mom keeping track of lots of information and trying to figure out life with a high functioning Autistic boy. He is 9 and changing by the day. But let's start from the beginning!!....
He was born just fine, no issues or weird situations. He was walking at 1 and doing the things kids normally do.
By the time he was 15 months he started loosing his words and having speech issues. At that time we had no clue he had anything major, just a speech delay, big deal!, but then as the week went by we started noticing very strange behaviors, like lining up all kinds of things (brushes, shoes, coins, etc) we had no idea what that was!. He was very inflexible about any routines, hated change and was a little obsessive over things. At that point is when the word Autism came in the picture. He started a state program until age 3, after that he started special ed preschool and by the time he was five he went into Kinder garden. At this point he is very verbal and has tactile sensory issues. First and second grade were very normal, a few issues here and there but performing academically and socially. At the very end of his second year he started having problems with defiance and rebelliousness, not wanting to do his work at school and hating writing!!.
Summer came up and we figured he was done for the school year, probably reset for the next one and be ok. Well....not so much, and here we are, at this very point!!
